Purpose of English Language Development at WCSD:

• Help students become proficient in the English language by developing the skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening.

• Help students become proficient in language skills to successfully meet core expectations.

• Help students successfully participate in classroom learning situations and other school activities.

• Help students develop and/or reinforce positive attitudes toward self, school, and the community.
